Singapore is currently facing heavy port congestion. we are finding that wharf space is not possible to find. The only exception seems to be unless dry docking or repairs are being conducted. A number of mid size yards we have spoken to are completely full and will only accept vessels if another vessel is leaving.

Traditional Layup Service

Traditional layup services we provide are based upon 40+ years of experience in undertaking layup activities. For clients who are prepared to stay longer they request additional protection. To provide assurance we use vapour corrosion inhibitors (VCI) and shrink wrap.

We have a lot of inquiries for a basic low cost layups for up to 6 months when the client does not want to spend any money.

We discussed with a top class surveyor a few years ago about what issues he was seeing in vessels returning to service. He saw that 20 rigs failed to re-enter service in that year. The delays are as long as 3 months. It applied to rigs who had a contract and wanted to return to service. Delays are costly due to problems that are totally avoidable.
