MLS offers a full support service in Singapore securing a wharf, layup preservation services and advanced corrosion control using VCI.

Updated April 2020

Singapore is currently facing heavy port congestion. we are finding that wharf space is not possible to find. The only exception seems to be unless dry docking or repairs are being conducted. A number of mid size yards we have spoken to are completely full and will only accept vessels if another vessel is leaving.

Maintenance & Layup Procedures

We discussed with one class surveyor a few years ago about what issues he was seeing in of vessels returning to service. He saw that 20 rigs failed to re-enter service in that year. The delays are as long long as 3 months. It applied to rigs who had a contract and wanted to return to service. Delays are costly due to problems that are avoidable. We can assist in writing the correct layup or a reactivation plan. Talk to us!
